BODEGA STORY:
This is our story, a story that we began to write some years ago and that we will continue to write, with vehemence and continuity, so that what was once a mere idea can be recalled in just one little sip. The first vintage that Viñedos de Mancuso marketed was the 2002 vintage of its Mancuso red wine. From that moment on, harvest by harvest, the project has been consolidating its presence (not in terms of production) and has already carved out a niche for itself in the national panorama of grape-growing and wine-making.
We thought that its field of influence was contained within our borders. In July 2009, however, Jay Miller and Robert Parker of the prestigious publication The Wine Advocate awarded 96 points out of 100 to the 2005 Mancuso. According to these accomplished experts, our main red wine was in the top 40 of the best wines in Spain.
In light of this rise of status, from now on our work will continue to be judged only and exclusively by the market. All that is left for us to do is to continue doing what we have done up until now: make the best wine we possibly can.
Mancuso is the name of an Aragonese gold coin that was first minted during the reign of Sancho Ramírez.
Moncaíno: allusive or pertaining to the Moncayo.
